Physics 239: Assignments
Spring Term, 2018
Grading Scheme
Each problem is nominally out of 10 points, but you might treat it as 8, because it goes as follows:
- 10 points means this is a better job than I would have done: I learned stuff and you could teach this material
- 9 points means this stood out as a masterful job: impressive
- 8 points means you satisfied expectations: perhaps a few mistakes or quibbles, but overall got the concept and executed reasonably
- 7 points means at least one serious deficiency appeared
- 6 points and lower means more serious deficiencies or missing parts
Note: the "bonus" problem on each assignment is actually required and will be graded (leniently), so don't treat as optional!
